BEVERLY Hillsides – An anesthesiologist pleaded not liable Thursday to murder within the dying of the 71-year-old cosmetic surgery patient in Beverly Hillsides this fall, CBS La reports.
Stephen Kyosung Kim, 53, is billed within the Sept. 26 dying from the patient, Dr. Mark Greenspan, based on the La County District Attorney’s Office.
Kim pleaded not liable one count of murder at his arraignment Thursday in La County Superior Court and stays free on bail. Kim was arrested Wednesday by Beverly Hillsides police.
While working in the Rodeo Drive Cosmetic Surgery Center in Beverly Hillsides, Kim allegedly administered medicine to sedate Greenspan before surgery, based on the District Attorney’s Office.
Kim is charged with injecting themself by having an unknown drug throughout the procedure, then allegedly giving Greenspan a lethal dose of Demerol as the patient is at a recovery room, based on the D.A’s Office. Right after being administered that dose, the D.A. alleged Greenspan entered cardiac event and died.
If charged as billed, he faces as much as twenty five years to existence imprisonment.
Kim’s next hearing is scheduled for Jan. 25. He’s on bail.
CBS La spoke towards the alleged victim’s sister by telephone Thursday.
“I’m really raw,” states Linda Resnick, “I really am. My buddy is really an in-depth loss in my experience.”
She stated it is also a large loss to his patients.
“He loved what he did,” she stated. “And lots of his patients are likely to miss him. He labored for 38 years [at seven different offices] in Los Angeles.”
For the time being, his sister are only able to mourn his loss. “It is simply painful, super painful,” she stated.
Keeping her focused is believing her brother’s dying won’t be useless.
“I do think justice will prevail,” she stated, “I miss him really terribly.”
CBS La arrived at to Dr. Kim but he didn’t return her call.
